Henry Boe was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Mahnomen County, Minn., the son of Christ and Julia Boe. He farmed at Langdon, N.D., served with the U.S. Army and worked 25 years for Interlake Steamship Co. on the Great Lakes. He married Dorothy James in Langdon. He later married Mayme Hegg.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Henry, Batavia, Ohio, James and Randy, both of Bagley, and Richard, Crystal, N.D.; daughters, Dorrene (Mrs. Bob) King Atwater, Calif., Darlene (Mrs. Bob) Loop and Connie (Mrs. Paul) Westoner, both of Riverside, Calif., Eileen (Mrs. Arlen) Syverson, Darlene (Mrs. Kenneth Jr.) Martine, Vickie Walker, Jeanne (Mrs. Richard) Davis and Terri (Mrs. David) Swenson, all of Bagley, and Sharon (Mrs. Richard) Greenwood, Wilton, Minn.; 38 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Clayton, Marshall, Minn., Lloyd, Rochester, Minn., and Gordon, Newman, Ga.; sisters, Ethel Sukert, Bemidji, Lillian Kangas, Bovey, Minn., and Lorraine Schlosser, Tulsa, Okla.; and sisters-in-law, Helen Boe, Bagley, Vicky Boe, Langdon, and Agnes Boe, Marshall.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Arnie, Jeffrey and Irvin; an infant sister; and a great-granddaughter.
Services:10:30 a.m. Monday in Grace Lutheran Church, Bagley.
Burial:Nora Township Cemetery, Pennington County. Members of the Irvin Blix American Legion Post 16, Bagley, will conduct military honors.
