Elwynn Everett Marshall of St. Paul died November 10, 1986 at the Regency Manor Nursing Home in St. Paul after a long battle with diseases associated with old age. He was 79 years and 7 months of age.
Mr. Marshall was born April 10, 1907 in Staples to Albert J. and Louisa (Jensen) Marshall. He grew up and received his education while on his parentsí farm near Nimrod. After he left school he worked mostly on farms until his marriage. On June 3. 1936, he married Miss Hazel Domke, daughter of Frank and Bertha (Judas) Domke of Lyman Prairie (near Sauk Centre). After his marriage he worked mostly in the mechanical and construction fields. He worked during war years for the Kaiser Shipbuilding Co. as a welder, then came to St. Paul where he made his home ever since. He retired in 1972 because of a disability from Parkinsonís disease and had been an invalid much of the time since. He entered the nursing home in May, 1982 and died November 10.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel, three daughters, Mrs. Myrna Grant of North St. Paul, Mrs. Jackie (Lillian) Granger of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Jack (Elaine) Subert of Glendora, California; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; six brothers, Marvin L. Marshall and George E. Marshall of St. Paul, Vernon Marshall of Sonora, California, Victor Marshall of Litchfield, and Richard Marshall of Burnsville; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Johnson of Braham; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son, Roger Marshall.
Funeral services were held at the Cardini Funeral Home in Sebeka on November 13 with the Rev. Dennis Bushkofsky of Our Saviorís Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was at the Marshall Cemetery near Nimrod, beside his parents.
The pallbearers were Elmer Domke, Glen Hamilton, Ed Hedgeland, James Marshall, Marvin Marshall, Jr., and Jack Weber.
