Ray lived his long life with a soundtrack of music and humor, priorities being the love of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family and a host of great friends.

He will be so missed by his wife, Wanda; sister, Jeanne (James) Magner; son, John Mark; daughters, Pat (John) Lee, and Sandy (Ken) Timboe; six grandchildren, Jesse (Kjerstin) Lee, Kaari (Jeff) Lee Landblom, Ingrid, Kristine Emma, and Louise Timboe, and Ellen (Alex) Timboe Horn; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Madeleine, and Josiah Lee and Soren Landblom.

A WWII army veteran, Ray was a graduate of Augsburg College and had a 28 year career with Lutheran Brotherhood (Thrivent). His retirement years were divided between the Lutsen, MN home and Sun City, AZ. Presently he resided at 7500 York, Edina, where he died peacefully surrounded by his loving and grieving family.

The memorial service will be Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 11 am at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Road, Edina. Memorials preferred to Mount Carmel Ministries, Normandale Lutheran Church, or donor's choice. When Jesus came He brought music to our hearts, Joy to our souls, and one blessing upon another to our lives.
