WINTHROP - Henry E. Buysse, 80, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 25 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop with Father Bob Wyffels celebrating the Mass.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Monday.

Henry is survived by his wife, Agnes Buysse of Winthrop; daughters and sons-in-law, Madeline and Lee Lorentz of Annandale, Elizabeth Buysse of Eagan, Debra and Gary Finnson of England, Denise and Dave Nelson, Diane and Dan Cochran all of Morgan; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Howard Parks of Brainerd, Marlene and Rick Blake of Arkansas; sons and daughter-in-law, Fred Buysse of Cottonwood, Dale and Denise Buysse of Truman; stepson and daughter-in-law, Wally and Cathy Lee of Fergus Falls; son-in-law, Larry Wegscheid of Columbia Heights; twenty-eight grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Madeline and Marcus Brandle of St. George, Yvonne Spaude of Gibbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brothers-in-law, Irene and Ferdinand Bianchi, Vyrl Spaude; and a brother and sister-in-law, Cyril and Arlene Buysse.

Henry Emil Buysse was born on March 24, 1927 in Ghent to Theophil and Marie (Lauwagie) Buysse. He served his nation in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Aug. 26, 1968 he was united in marriage to Agnes Dewanz in Gaylord. Henry was employed with United Farmers Co-op delivering feed for 24 years. He retired in 1991. He enjoyed competing in antique tractor pulls, playing cards, listening to old time music, and going to dances. Henry was a past member of the American Legion Post 134 in Winthrop.
