She enjoyed teaching and visiting with family and friends. She loved to sew, any kind of needle work and crafting. Alyce also enjoyed flowers and gardening. She always had a large garden when her family was young and that hobby continued through the years while living at Village View Apartments. For many years, Alyce worked at the Burtrum Bean Bake cooking noodles. She was also a leader in the Burtrum Booster 4-H Club and a member of the Homemaker’s Club.
Alyce was preceded in death by her husbands, Edmund Messerich and Donald Bacon; parents, John and Augusta Rueger; three sisters and a brother.
