At the age of 7 months, Lisanne was a ward of Canada child welfare and was adopted by Americans, Richard and Rosamond Cynthia Crespo. Her newly adopted mother accompanied the baby Lisanne from Canada on the way to her new home in San Francisco. Documented by U.S. Border Crossing Manifest crossing at Blaine, Washington. Lisanne's name on the manifest was Lisanne Rosamond Crespo, indicating she was already officially adopted.
Lisanne was naturalized on May 12, 1953.
Lisanne married Douglas Glen Adams in San Francisco on April 10, 1971. They were both 27 years old.
Douglas died on June 15, 2007, while on safari in Africa. Unknown burial location.
Lisanne is interred in the plot just across from her in-laws, the Adams.
