Henry Biersdorff, 83, passed away at Lake Region hospital late Saturday night. He had been hospitalized only a few days following a stroke.
In recent years Mr. Biersdorff had resided at the Barkley hotel. Only a few weeks ago he returned from a visit with a daughter and two sons in California.
He was born in Fergus Falls, Dec 27, 1887, the son of Herman and Elizabeth Biersdorff. During his life he worked in a variety of occupations around Fergus Falls.
He was married to 1904 to Hattie Marshall and in February 1934 he was married to Mrs. Blanche Nisselius in Fergus Falls.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter. They are Sidney of Davenport, Iowa; Charlie, Frank and Leona of San Jose, Calif.; and Raymond of Elizabeth. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday in the chapel of the Olson Funeral home with the Rev. John R. Miller officiating. Interment will be in the United Church of Christ cemetery. Friends may call at the Olson Funeral home.
