Craig Brodin, 45, of Jackson died June 17, 1998, at Jackson Medical Center Hospital after becoming ill at home. Services were held Friday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson with Rev. Roger Hett officiating. Special music was provided by Kathy Wenzel, organist, and Kent Mickelson, vocalist. Pallbearers were Dave Pell, Joe Biehn, Ron Schlimeen, Phil Schafer, Doug Sangl and Bob Dorschner. Interment was in the Delafield Township Cemetery.

Craig Victor Brodin, son of Vernon and Lillie Olson Brodin, was born May 9, 1953, in Windom. He graduated from Windom High School in 1971, attended Worthing-ton Junior College and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1975. In 1974, Craig married Sue Janzen. The couple lived in St. Paul and then moved to Lakefield in 1975. Craig and Sue moved to Jackson in 1982, and later, moved to an acreage in Des Moines Township. Craig was baptized and confirmed at Delafield Lutheran Church. In 1980, he became a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where he served as a youth group leader and usher. He was also a 4-H and Boy Scout leader and coached T-ball and girls softball. At the time of his death, he was employed at Ag-Chem in Jackson as special options manufacturing office manager.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; a son, Brandon Brodin of Jackson; two daughters, Sarah Brodin of Estherville, Iowa, and Bridget Brodin at home; his parents, Vernon and Lillie Brodin of Windom; a sister, Cheryl (Kevin) Ahren of Spencer, Iowa; and a grandmother, Dagny Brodin of Windom.
