Isaac Hasbrouck died last Thursday evening at his home in the east end of the city at the age of sixty-four years. The deceased was born at Otsego, N.Y., and came west with his parents when a young lad, the family settling in southern Minnesota. At the age of eighteen years, Mr. Hasbrouck enlisted in the Tenth Minnesota Volunteer Infantry and went south with his regiment. In December, 1863 he was seriously wounded at the battle of Island No. 10. From the effects of this wound he never fully recovered. At the close of the war the deceased, then less than twenty-one years of age, came with his parents to Douglas county, landing here early in 1866. Several years ago, he moved to Alexandria which has since been his home.
The burial occurred Friday afternoon in the Carlos cemetery, near the early family home. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, Rev. W.W. Ruble, of the Adventist church, conducting the ceremony.
The deceased leaves, besides other relatives, a widow and one son, ten years of age.
