Refugio was born on July 4, 1935 in Sinaloa, MX. She married Jesus Aguilar on February 7, 1957 in Mexicali, MX.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers and Mortuary in Calexico. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
Mass will be officiated by Father Roque Vano at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico Friday, January 13, commencing at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
Refugio was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Aguilar.
Refugio is survived by her son, Jesse Aguilar of Imperial; daughters and sons-in-law, Araceli and Robert Avila of Calexico, Lourdes and Juan Carlos Beal of Calexico, Joe and Donna Aguilar of Escondido, CA, Art and Espie Aguilar of Calexio, Ruth and Arturo Carmona of Calexico, and Heidi and Gilbert Carrillo of Calexico; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
