He was survived by his wife Bette, his sons Bob and Jeff, and grandchildren John Abbott and Mariel Wright.
He was a WWII hero to his country and a hero to his family every day since. After retiring from Xerox in 1982 as their General Accounting Manager, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course and traveling with his wife of sixty-five years.
Lou was a member of the U.S. Air Forces Escape & Evasion Society. As Captain in the Air Force, he was a B-17 navigator and completed thirty-one missions before being shot down over occupied Belgium in 1944. He made his home in Burbank, CA since 1950.
