ABRAHAM(S) (ABRAMS), TINA

Evening Democrat - 10/28/1913, p1 - Mrs. Tina Abrahams Died Today After Long Illness - Mrs. Tina Abrahams, wife of Abraham Abrahams, a well known clothing merchant of this city, died suddenly at the Rideout hospital at 5:30 o'clock this morning from the effects of blood poisoning, which was caused by diabetes. The end came entirely unexpected by friends, many of whom were not even aware of the illness. She had only been at the hospital a few days before her death this morning, having been removed to the institution three or four days ago, when the symptoms of the disease from which she was suffering became more aggravated. The physician in attendance gave up all hopes of prolonging her life yesterday, when members of the family were notified that there was no hope for recovery. - Mrs. Abrahams was a daughter of the late Philip Brown, a pioneer merchant of this city, where she had resided all her life, having been born here November 20, 1868, making her not quite forty-five years old at the time of death. She was a woman of a kindly and most charitable nature and much esteemed in a large circle of friends. - Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jacob and Harry Abrahams, and a number of brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. I. Stern, Mrs. Augusta Adeler, Mrs. Isadore Horn, Mrs. C. E. Oliver, Mrs. I. Smith and Miss Evan Brown of San Francisco, and A. L. Brown, of Marysville, Milton E. Brown, of Gridley, and Sam and Leo Brown of San Francisco. - The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the mortuary chapel of R. E. Bevan & Son. Burial will be made in the family plot of the Marysville city cemetery. [Jewish Cemetery]
