The death occurred Saturday evening of Mrs. D.N. Ainger, wife of D.N. Ainger of Grimes, at the family home. Mrs. Ainger was a native of Northern California, having been born at Chico on April 19, 1857. She mingled in the community welfare all her life but for the past few years she had not enjoyed very good health. Mrs. Ainger is survived by her husband, four sons and a daughter, Fran, Fred, Ray and George Ainger and Mrs. D.H. Miller. With the exception of Ray Ainger, who resides at Williams, the rest of the family resides at Grimes. the funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Grimes church, where the Rev. W.P. Menard officiated, and interment was made at the Grand Island cemetery. The four sons and Dan Ryan and B.H. Miller acted as the pall bearers, the two latter being sons-in-law. Mrsw. Ainger had lived at Grimes for the past 20 years and formerly lived in Colusa at the old Grove place west of Colusa. Before her marriage Mrs. Ainger was Miss Mary Miller, and she always was a conspicuous figure in the district activities.
