A native of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Claudia King Huskins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard Griffith, who died in 1959; a daughter, Sarah Evelyn Griffith; a son, Harry Lee Griffith; a granddaughter, Nikki Clark; two grandsons, Randy Clark and Kevin Kirkpatrick; and four sisters.
Myrtle was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Marble, enjoyed gardening, and having made many quilts in her lifetime, loved to quilt. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Marble.
