Linda Sue Wilson Hopkins, age 68, of Turtletown, TN passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN.

Linda was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of the late Raleigh James and Bethel Queen Wilson. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and loved helping people in need.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank Wilson, Roy Wilson, William Wayne Wilson (Blackie), Ralph Wilson (Cubby) and Jack Wilson and one sister Evelyn Ladd.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Hopkins of Turtletown, TN and Eddie Hopkins and wife Allison of Blue Ridge, GA; one brother, William W. Queen and wife Kaye of Tuson, AZ; two sisters, Betty Kate Lovingood and husband Howard of Brasstown, NC and June West and husband Leonard of Marble, NC; one granddaughter, Payten Hopkins; three step grandchildren, Emily Bailey, Sarah Bailey and Travis Hawkins and several special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Eddie Trantham and Rev. Carroll Roper will officiate. Committal services will be conducted by the Rev. Calvin Murphy in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Arrowood, Phillip West, Charles Kimsey, Joe Akins, Danny Hopkins and Danny Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Wilson, Bucky Kelly, Jeff Lovingood, Daniel West, Dan Owens and Phillip Keller.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Mary Ruth Keller, 5374 Hwy. 141, Marble, NC 28905.
