The ???? work of death has one relieving feature. No man 'tis said is a hero until he dies. Death lifts from comparative obscurity many kind and amiable neighbors, devoted wives and tender mothers. Of this class was Mrs. Dicy Anna, wife of Jones E. Hunting and daughter of Joseph W. and Sarah Fitzgerald. Mrs Hunting died near Acampo on June 9, 1883, aged 28 years, 6 months, and 22 days of typhoid pneumonia, after an illness of eleven days. The remains were followed to the cemetery at Elliott by a large concourse of afflicted relatives and friends.
