MANUEL ALVES AGUIAR (1945 - 2010)
Manuel Alves Aguiar, age 65 of Orland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Manuel was born June 3, 1945 in Sao Jorge, Azores to Jose and Maria Aguiar.
He was a dairyman for 41 years and enjoyed farming and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include: daughters, Selena Olstad of Yolo, CA and Rosa Silveira of Orland, CA; also his son, Manuel Aguiar Jr. of Orland; granddaughter, Cecily Gardner of Yolo, CA; and grandson, Louis Silveira of Orland; two brothers, Tony Aguiar and Joe Aguiar; sister, Florinda Aguiar, all of Azores.
A Rosary will be held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church of Orland on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral
Mass will be Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with internment at the Catholic Cemetery following the Mass.
F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary of Orland is handling the arrangements.
