Former Redding resident Dennis K. Brown, 69. of Yountville died Wednesday at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro (547-4444)..

Dennis Keith Brown was born March 3, 1944 in Corning, Calif. to Earnest F. and Luella Brown of Vina, Calif. He lived and worked in the Corning-Vina area for many years. He graduated from Los Molina's High in 1962 and served in the military for 2 years in Hawaii.
He met and married Peggy Ford of Redding Ca in 1986 and became one of Jehovah Witnesses in 1987. He and his wife moved to Napa Ca in 1999 where Dennis worked as a Fire Protection Inspector II for the Napa Fire Department for 12 years, retiring in 2012.
After a long illness he passed away on March 20, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy Brown; his sister, Carol Guard; his children, Dennis Brown Jr., Colin Brown, Melissa Hall and Megan Johnson; his nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A formal memorial service will be given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1976 Wise Dr., Napa, Ca 94558, on Saturday April 6, 2013 at 2PM
