Joseph E. Andrade died in Salinas on Dec. 24, 2001. He was 80. Mr. Andrade was born in Sonora, Mexico. He came to his area as a young boy from San Gabriel, worked for many years for Tri-Valley Growers and was member of Teamsters Local 890. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Church and served his country honorably during World War II in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his children and their spouses; Joseph Jr. and Helen Andrade of Hollister, Lawrence Andrade of Hollister, Carol and Marty Martinez of Hollister, Steve and Chris Andrade of Hollister, Alex Andrade of Hollister, Annette and Danny Lopez of Hollister, and Michael Andrade of Hollister. His sister-in-law Mary Andrade of San Jose, 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Andrade, who died in 1984, children Abraham Andrade and Stella Wilson and brother Ernest Andrade. A Rosary was held on Dec. 30, 2001 at Sacred Heart Church. Internment and graveside services followed that mass at Calvary Cemetery.
