Ismael Alcaraz, age 18, a resident of Merced passed away on October 3, 2003. He was born September 5, 1985, in Merced, California to Margarito C. and Maria P. Alcaraz. He attended local schools and graduated from Merced High School Class of 2003. Ismael was a great all around fun person. He enjoyed lisening to oldies and watching football and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49ERS. Isamael was going to attend UTI to become a high tech mechanic. He was his mother's Rey. Ismael is survived by his parents; Margarito and Maria Alcaraz of Merced, California, brothers; Francisco, Eddie, Fernando, Alex Alcaraz all of Merced, California, George Alcaraz of Oklahoma and Jaime Alcaraz of Arizona, sisters; Lidia, Daisy, Jenny, Araceli Alacaraz all of Merced, California and Maria Alcaraz of Arizona, his grandparents; Refugio Alcaraz, Eloiza Calderon, Amparo Gutierrez all of Mexico. A visitation will be held at 12-10:00 P.M. on Thursday October 9, 2003 in the Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home, a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Ivers & Alcorn in Merced. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday October 10, 2003 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Merced, 21st and Canal with Father Mike Lastiri officiating, the burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery District.
