Arlene A. Blevins, 57, of Fries, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax.
She was born Oct 5, 1944, in Fries, the Turkey Knob Community, to Curtis and Edith Ring Anderson.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Blevins; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Patsy Blevins of Fries; her mother, Edith Anderson of Fries; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Brenda Jackson of Galax, Patty Combs, Becky and Alan Jones and Anita and Larry Williams, all of Fries; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry Anderson of Fries and Bobby and Vera Anderson of Independence; two brothers-in-law, Jessie Jackson and Freddie Combs, both of Fries; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Thursday at North Fries Tabernacle, Fries, with burial in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Cripple Creek. The Rev. Joe Arnold and Allen Jones officiated.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fries Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 9, Fries, Va. 24330.
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
