TAYLOR WOMAN PASSES AWAY
Sarah Elizabeth Alvord To Be Buried Wednesday Services at l P.M.
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Alvord, wife of the late Joseph B. Alvord, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Barnard E. Farr at Taylor, of general debility.
She was born in Salt lake , October 10, 1851, the daughter of Henry and Susan Strong Mower. She had been a resident of West Weber and Taylor for the past 41 years.
She was an active worker in the Relief society, serving as a counselor in the presidency of the West Weber ward, also an active worker of the Sunday school. Mrs. Alvord devoted years to care of the sick and afflicted.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Susan Farr of Taylor, J. L. Alvord of Los Angeles, Mrs. Amy Hadley of Rockland, Idaho; Mrs. Florence Greenwell of Paul, Idaho; Bertha Alvord, Ogden.
The children were with their mother at the time of her death.
The following brothers and sisters survive her; Henry Mower, John Mower, Sidney Mower, Charles Mower, Mrs. Lydia Bills and Mrs. Lulu McMillian, and 22 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 o'clock in the Taylor ward meetinghouse. Bishop William Jardine will conduct the services.
The body may be viewed at the home of Mrs. Farr in Taylor, tomorrow afternoon and evening and Wednesday until time of funeral.
Interment will be in the West Weber cemetery.
Flowers may be left at Larkin and Sons
