Cody was born April 12, 1986, to parents William Lynn Appawora and Marie Benoist in Roosevelt.
Cody enjoyed traveling, vintage cars, construction work, singing, making music, and being with his son Blaze teaching him his native tradition. He loved going to Pow Wows with his grandmother and family and was a championship grass dancer. He enjoyed being with family and friends at family functions and cooking the BBQs.
Cody will be greatly missed by all those who knew him and loved him dearly.
He is survived by his son, Blaze Cain Appawora, age 7; sisters Sierra Hamilton, Marisa Hamilton and Spring Dae Accawanna; grandparents Melba Appawora, William Appawora, Sr., Ramona T. McLaen and deceased grandfather Richard Benoist, Sr.; aunts and uncles Velma J. Sireech and family, Everett (Mary) Colorow and family; Loretta (Duane) Burchick and family, Eloise (Clint) Ledbetter and family, Freda (Rod) Groves and family, Robert J. Colorow; Elaine Colorow and family, Willard Johnson, April (Chad) Zamora, Christine Colorow and family, Geneva Accawanna and family, Mashaun Benoist, Richard and Sam Benoist, Arthur, Robert and David McLaen, Shireen Weidmer, and Willie Biros (Deceased); many friends he grew up with and his many relatives, nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
Funeral services were held June 5 at the Myton Presbyterian Church.
