Vaness, 84-years-old, was born September 11, 1906 in Grantsville to Gustave H. and Claudia Brim Anderson. He married Louise A. Anderson. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survived by wife, Louise, (nursing home in Texas); step daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Bev) Schults, Spring, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Jesse V. (Genoa) Ecton, Granger; Mrs. Florence Watson, Grantsville; Mrs. Mignon Howell; and Mrs. Bernice Carson, both Tooele. Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Emma Tripp; and a brother, Richard Anderson, killed in action in World War II.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 24, 11 a.m., Grantsville 8th Ward, 550 East Durfee Street. Friends may call at the the church Monday, 10-11 a.m. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery under direction of Tate Mortuary.
