Miss Carie Adams was the daughter of the late John E. Adams and Margaret Nielson Adams. She grew to womanhood in Bluff, Utah then moved to Blanding, where she has lived since.
She attended school several years at the B.Y.U. in Provo.
Resourceful and capable in the home, she has been the constant help and companion of her mother since the death of her father.
Carlie lived her life quietly and well. Besides her mother she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: J. Ernest, Melvin J.,Lloyd and Joseph W.: Mrs. Kisten Perkins, Mrs. Effie Sherman, Miss Clara Adams and Mrs. Pearl Bayles.
--Funeral Services for Miss Carlie Adams Held Last Thursday--

Funeral services were held for Miss Carlie Adams in the Blanding ward Chapel last Thursday afternoon, Bishop John D. Rogers presiding.
The choir sang "Sometime We'll Understand." Prayer was offered by Philip Hurst. A duet, "Jesus Lover of My Soul," by Mrs. Margaret Perkins and Aaron Harvey.
The speakers, Presidents Leland W. Redd and A. Jay Redd, D. John Rogers and Bishop John D. Rogers all spoke of their acquaintance with the family and with Carlie.
Carlie was straightforward and always spoke out fearlessly for what she thought was right. Loyal and true to her family, whom she served and loved.
Hyrum Porter, accompanied by Mrs. Mamie Adams, rendered a violin solo, "In the Garden of Tomorrow." Arch Bronson and Loile Bailey sang "Farewell Forever." The choir sang, "0 My Father."
Kumen Jones pronounced the benediction. Burial was in the Blanding cemetery, where the choir sang, "Nearer My God to Thee." The grave was dedicated by Karl S Barton.
