BYRON, Conrad S., 70, 2822 Elm St., died Saturday at home. He was born April 6, 1915, in Blaine, and had been a Bellingham resident for 20 years. Mr. Byron was retired from the Air Force. He served in World War II and Korea. He was a former custodian of the Columbia School. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Dale Byron and Richard Byron, of Bellingham; two daughters, Gail Ackerson of Deming and Suzanne DeKubber of Custer; two brothers, Melvin Vilene of Ferndale and August Byron of Bellingham; one sister, Vilene Ehlers of Bellingham; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Mike Newell officiating. Burial will be in Van Zandt Cemetery.
