Mrs. Bennett laid to rest - Mrs. Ruth Bennett was laid to rest Monday following services at the First Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Bennett, who was born in 1900 in Reardan, died March 31 at the Lincoln County hospital following an extended illness.
She married Les Bennet in 1939 and the couple lived six miles east of Davenport since that time. She was a member of the Davenport Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband, Les, at the home; two daughters, Mrs. George Talkington of Harrington and Mrs. Gary Guhlke of Davenport; two brothers, Duane Brink of Spokane and Joe Brink of Boring, Oregon; four sisters, Mrs. Roxy Nichols of Davenport, Mrs. Dee Crandall of Spokane, Mrs. Marguerite Cage of Calusa, California and Mrs. Wilma Lueck of Pomeroy, Washington; also two grandsons.
Interment was at Mondovi cemetery with the Rev. Roger Muisiner officiating. Casket bearers were Ven Ohland, James Graham, Joe Paul, Gene Simpson, Paul Lillengreen and Jack Paul.
