David Anaruk, 40, of Aberdeen, Wash., was found dead Feb. 11 a short distance from the nursing home where he lived. Anaruk was a quadriplegic and his wheelchair had overturned on a path not far from the nursing home. He was not found until the next afternoon. The cause of death was ruled hypothermia. Anaruk was injured a year ago while diving from a bluff into the river. Though severely handicapped, Anaruk was taking classes in computer technology and was progressing well.
He is survived by his mother, Golda Haskins Keith of Federal Way, Wash.; two brothers, Gary of Dallas, Tex., and Terry of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Gail Anaruk of Palmer, Alaska; his father, Axel Anaruk of Palmer, Alaska; two sons, Nathan and Jesse of Aberdeen, Wash.
