April 18, 1954 - June 18, 2014 Susan Kay Anderberg (Felgenhauer), 60, of Spokane went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Her last days were filled with many visits by family and friends. Susan was born on April 18, 1954 in Spokane, WA to Jack and Gloria Felgenhauer. Susan was a pioneer daughter and fourth generation farmer, raised in Fairfield, WA. Susan graduated from Liberty High School in 1972 and the University of Idaho in 1976 where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority (Go Vandals!). After graduating college, Susan moved to Seattle and married Al Anderberg on November 14, 1980 and had two children, Megan and Aaron. Susan and Al returned to Spokane to work the family farm at which time she decided to return to school and get a master's degree in School Counseling, graduating from Eastern Washington University in 1993. Susan was able return to her alma mater, Liberty High School, and work as school counselor. Susan loved horses and animals of all kinds and enjoyed spending time vacationing with her husband and children. They spent their summers at the family cabin on Coeur d'Alene Lake and winters visiting her daughter and grandchildren in Phoenix, AZ. Susan is survived by her husband Al Anderberg, children Megan Jones (Kirk Jones) and Aaron Anderberg, mother Gloria Felgenhaeur and sister Sally Baird. She is also survived by two grandchildren Cooper and Hayden as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Susan was a loving wife and mother and an amazing friend to everyone she met. She inspired many friends, family and caregivers with her positive and determined attitude despite living with multiple sclerosis for 28 years. Memorial service will be held at Mt Hope Church/Cemetery on Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow at 12 p.m. at the Town of Fairfield Community Center, in Fairfield, WA.
