Emily Mae (Waggoner) Babb, of Spokane and former resident of Brewster, was a woman who lived life to the fullest went to meet her Heavenly Father after an extended illness Wednesday, January 9, 2002.
She was born in Republic, WA., on August 17, 1930 to Lloyd and Geraldine (Raymond) Waggoner. Emily was raised in Brewster and later moved to Creston and for the past several years she has lived in Spokane.
She married Merle E. Simons June 26, 1947.
Emily was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribe.
She is survived by her children, Merle L. and wife, Charlene Simons of Republic; Ardell Adams; Donna and husband, Mike Graff; Sandra L. Jolley; and Emily Mae Simons all of Spokane; her sisters, Cheryl and husband Lanny Hanford of Kennewick; her brother, Ray and Wife, Nan Waggoner of Texas; 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews, 2 nieces, 2 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Geraldine Waggoner, a grandson, Joshua Simons; former husbands, Merle E. Simons and Delno Babb.
Services were conducted Monday, January 14, 2002, at 11 am from Barnes Chapel, Brewster, with William Osborne officiating. Committal service and interment followed at the Brewster Cemetery.
