Delora Jean Abbey, 88, of Everett, Washington, died February 13, 2005. She was born December 6, 1916, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Delora was a veteran of WWII and Korea, served in the US Army as a nurse and spent much of her time in the South Pacific. She moved to Everett in 1952 where she worked for the Health Dept. and then for Everett Schools as a nurse. She retired about 20 years ago.
She is survived by her brothers, Carl and Donald, both of Massachusetts, Douglas of Ontario, Robert of British Columbia; and sister, Eleanor Swanson of Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John "Jack" Abbey. Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 21, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. Interment will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett.
