Born Jan. 26, 1933, in Casey County, he was a son of Hester Marple Allen of Liberty and the late Eubert Allen. He was a carpenter and concrete worker.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Stole Allen; three sons, Stephen Allen and Donald Allen, both of Liberty, and Timothy Allen of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five daughters, Kathy Allen of Highland Heights, Karen Sanders of Cincinnati, Sharon Foley of Lovely, Paula Jrmany of Crestview, and Cheryl Payne of Liberty; two stepdaughters, Karen Cury of Oklahoma City and Marla Coffelt of Dallas; two sisters, Datha Eubanks of Cincinnati and Nelda Harlow of Liberty; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Revs. Jimmy Knifley and Stephen Martin. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday.
