Don Allison, 79, Cadiz, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Spring Creek Nursing facility following a short illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at King's Funeral Home in Cadiz with Jack Russell and the Revs. Paul Cannon and Damian Phillips officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Central City.
Visitation is from 9 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A native of Cleaton, he was born Jan. 15, 1934, the son of the late Albert Atlas and Maude Keeling Allison.
He was retired after 32 years as an elementary school principal in Hebron, Ind. He was also a real estate salesman for Lake Barkley Realty.
He was a member of Canton Baptist Church.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was also the past president of the Lions Club and secretary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. Allison and his son, Russell Don (Deirdre) Allison, Evansville, Ind.
