SHINER: Betty Jean Berckenhoff, age 62, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011. She was born on Oct. 13, 1948 in Galveston to James L. and Johnnie Bernice O'Neill Smith.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors: husband, Ronnie Berckenhoff of Shiner; sisters, Peggy Jo Reimert of Magnolia and Joyce Wright of Yoakum; brothers, James C. Smith of Yoakum and Jeffrey W. Smith of Waller.
Preceded in death by: her parents; and sons, Robert Wayne Baker and Billy Goodson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Hibbs officiating. Interment will be at Hebron Cemetery.
