Mrs. Ella Allen, 74, of 608 Walling Avenue in Campbellsville, daughter of the late Mr. Wesley Underwood and Mrs. Sarah Hash Underwood, was born in Taylor County, May 31, 1902. She died at 1:15 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 1976, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville. She had been a patient there for one day. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home. She united in marriage to Mr. Otis Earl Allen, November 21, 1928. He preceded her in death July 11, 1969. She is survived by two brothers-in-law: Mr. Charlie Allen of Campbellsville and Mr. Roy Allen of Campbellsville, Route 2; several cousins. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 19, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by Rev. Phil Porter. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
