Graveside services for Lucinda "Cindy" Gayle Bay will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, 10 a.m. at the Big Pine Cemetery. Pastor Ron Sargent will officiate.
Born in Bishop on April 28, 1957, Cindy died Dec. 18, 2008 at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nev. She was 51.
She attended school in Bishop, Mammoth Lakes and Big Pine, K-12. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska in her early 20s where she completed college at the University of Alaska, Anchorage and graduated with honors and was on the Dean's List. She went on to work for the State of Alaska in the Alaska Human Rights Commission Department, where she was employed until her death.
Survivors include her daughter, Deatrae Bay of Anchorage; grandson, Aidan Bay of Anchorage; mother, Darlene Landis of Big Pine; brothers, David Bay and wife, Karen of Bishop and Darrell Lawrence of Sparks, Nev.; niece, Fawn Lawrence of Tucson, Ariz.; nephew, Robert Lawrence of Georgia; and niece, Melodie Lawrence of Bishop.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bay, brother, Kenneth Bay, and grandparents, Bill and Carolyn Bay.
