Born in Williamston, August 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the Late Joe and Lula Burns Williams. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was employed for almost 66 years as a loving Mother of 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grand children. Until her retirement at 7:am on October 1, 2012, she never missed a day "on the job". A "Job" well done.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her loving husband of almost 64 years and her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Pete Williams, Herbert Williams, Roy Burns, Gertrude Burns Jackson and a grandson, Scott Burgess, who was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan in 2011.
