Mrs. Lois Bayless, 81, of Cotter, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 17, 2006.
She was born to Elix and Elder Fontenot on November 18, 1924, in Eunice, Louisiana, and married Rex Bayless on September 5, 1943, in Yuma, Arizona.
A longtime resident of Cotter, she was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, singing in the choir and participating in the United Methodist Women's Group. She enjoyed crocheting, and her grandchildren were a joy to her.
She is survived by her husband Rex Bayless, Sr. of the home; daughters Jo (Ernest) Partee of Mountain Home and Roberta (Jack) King of Benton; son Rex Bayless, Jr. and his fiancée Young Vest of Mountain Home; grandchildren Staci Montee, Jimmy Partee, Lauren Partee, Paul Bayless, and Jason Bayless; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Nolia Simon, Wilda Cormier, and Anita Trouth; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Gassville. Interment was in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
