Billy Benard Abbott, 68, of Route 3, died Friday at Richland Memorial Hospital. Born in Aiken County, he was a son of the late Levi and Susanna Hawkins Abbott. He was a retired truck driver for Gifford Hill Concrete Company and a member of Tabernacle Church of God, Cayce. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary L. Abbott; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Bond of Cayce and Mrs. Eline Rollowson of Columbia; a son, Levi Abbott of Columbia; a brother, Jessie Abbott of Blackville; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. J. M. Broughton. Burial will be in Celestial Memorial Gardens. © The State, Columbia, SC, 11 Sep 1982
