Dolph Jefferson, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Mack Jefferson was born in March, 1900 in Clayborne County, Mississippi.
He confessed a hope in Christ 1929 at the Mt. Olive M.B. Church Isola, Ms. under the pastorate of the late Rev. C.V. Hill.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Channie Jefferson in 1943. He moved to the Lake Providence, Louisiana Community in 1964 later he united with the Central Baptist Church No. 1. He Departed this life Wednesday November 29, 1973 at 10:00 P.M., at his home.
He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Mrs. Channie Jefferson, 2 brothers, Mr. Elex Jefferson and Mr. Henry Jefferson of San Francisco, Calif., 4 sisters, Mrs. Ada Jackson, Mrs. Rosie Lee Clark and Mrs. Delia Williams of Los Angeles, Calif. and Mrs. Fannie Garrison of Belzoni, Miss., 6 sons, Mr. John Jefferson and J.C. Gibson of Belzoni, Miss., James Jefferson of Memphis, Tenn., Mr. Joseph Jefferson of Springfield, Mo., Mr. Isiah Jefferson of Tulsa, Okla., and Mr. Thomas Jefferson of Chicago, Ill., 4 daughters, Mrs. Virginia Davenport of Springfield, Mo., Miss Alice Jefferson of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Mary Brown and Mrs. Martha Smart of Tulsa, Okla., 1 uncle of Hermanville, Miss., 27 Grand children, 21 great Grandchildren, and a host of Neices, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
