Roland "Scooter" Hall, A retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service with 35 years of dedication, Roland made a peaceful transition into eternal life on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at his home in Brusly, surrounded by family members. He was 68, a U.S. Army veteran and a dedicated member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Deacon Ministry.

Hall Davis and Son Funeral Home, 9348 Scenic Highway, in charge of arrangements. Visitation at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Brusly, religious service, with Michael Otkins Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment in Antioch Cemetery.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Gwendolyn Jackson Hall; son, André Josef Hall and wife Dana, of Jonesboro, Ga.; daughter, Andrea Jené Hall, Brusly;

four sisters, Gwendolyn Blacher, La Marque, Texas, Buelah Williams and husband Elijah, Baton Rouge, and Gail Spriggs and Janice Alexander and husband Willie, all of Brusly;

three brothers, Henry Jr., Mervin and Kelvin Hall, all of Brusly;

five grandchildren, Justin Gaignard, Tylen Oubre, Amyria Harrington, Taylor and Meagan Hall;

three sisters-in-law, Brenda J. Brown and Jacqueline Chatman and husband Alfred, all of White Castle, and Wanda Nelson, Baton Rouge; aunt, Delia Elerby, of White Castle;

and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members, including a dedicated cousin, Jacqueline Fields.

Preceded in death by his parents, Estalena J. and Henry Hall Sr.
