Herman Bynum Sr. On Wednesday Nov. 24, 2010, at 11:15 p.m., a loving Angel of God laid Herman Bynum Sr., passionately known as Daddy Paul, to rest in the hands of our Lord and Savior while his loving family witnessed his transition to his new heavenly home. He was 93, born July 17, 1917, in Brusly.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was married 74 years to Pearl Stepteau Bynum and to this union 10 children were born.
He was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church of Brusly and a member of Antioch's Usher Ministry. He retired from the Allied Chemical Plant (now Honeywell Specialty Chemical Plant) of Baton Rouge after 30 years of service. Daddy Paul will always be remembered for his giving and caring heart and his superior work habits.

Interment in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Left to treasure his precious memory are his three daughters, Patricia Hamm, Valencia and husband John Davis, and Beverly and husband Eric Jones; adopted granddaughter, Anitra Bynum; six sons, Herman Jr., and wife Emelda Bynum, New Orleans, Carl and wife Ida Bynum, Randy and special friend Marie Snearl, Calvin and wife Annette Bynum, Mark and wife Colleen Bynum, Franklin, and Perrie Keith Bynum;
31 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Betty Clayton and Doretha Crockett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
