Eugene "Bro" Williams, A construction worker and painter, he died at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005. He was 73 and a resident of Port Allen.

Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, in charge of arrangements.
Religious service at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Matthew Young. Interment in Alford Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Green Williams; a daughter, Carla W. Kent; three sons, Eugene Williams Jr., Ronnie Williams and Adrian Williams; a stepson, Wilson James;

nine sisters, Dorothy McCue, Myrtle Jones, Cleopatra Glynn, Olivia Griffin, Delores Williams, Charlene Porche, Mary Lee Swazzes, Margaret Richardson and Donna Lee Borland;

five brothers, Sidney Williams Jr., Leo Williams, Isadore Williams, Leroy Williams and Bobby Williams; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Gertrude Williams; and a son, Lionel Williams.
