Also... WHERE did Lucy's husband HIRAM ALLEN end up and WHEN did he die?? He had several land records in the 1850s in Montgomery County, North Carolina. He had some debt and legal trouble towards the end of that decade. He then appears in the 1860 Census in Marshall County, Mississippi. And then I can find no trace of him again after that.
