Marie J. Sacco Aspinall, 65, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, January 22, 2007, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness. Formerly of Hamilton, New York, and a graduate of Hamilton Central School, Marie had many talents and became a successful businesswoman in the Syracuse area. She owned and operated several businesses including Marie's Hair Fashions and Boutique, Peter and Thomas' Eatery on James Street, Rock Arms Apartments and also worked as a real estate agent. For the past 18 years Marie worked alongside her son George, daughter Pam, and her grandchildren at Aspinall's Tree Nursery in Chittenango. Marie enjoyed giving her gardening and landscaping tips. She was affectionately referred to as "Mother Nature" by many of Aspinall's customers. She will always be in the hearts and minds of her mother, Antoinette; daughter, Pam; son, George; grandchildren and friends. Marie was predeceased by her father, Peter C. Sacco Sr., and brother, Ronald S. Sacco. She is survived by her mother, Antoinette Marchio Sacco; her daughter, Pamela S. Neubauer (John); her son, George P. Aspinall (Susan); her sister, Sandra Sacco Karpp (Nick); her brother, Peter C. Sacco Jr. (Kathleen); five grandchildren, Peter Neubauer, Thomas, Sara, Jessica and Connor Aspinall; eight nieces and nephews, Heather Sacco Ficarra, Lisa Sacco Neal, Michael Sacco, Christopher Sacco, Ryan Sacco Karpp, Aaron Sacco Karpp, Nicole Sacco Karpp, Mark Sacco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, January 26, from St. Mary's Church, Wylie St., Hamilton, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends are invited to call at the Fairchild & Meech Dewitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. East, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, on Friday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sarah House, 130 Roberts Street, Syracuse, New York 13207.
