Edna A. Ballard, 89, of Gladwin, died Monday, Oct. 14, 1996 at her home. Born Dec. 14, 1906 in Eldorado, Ill., she came to Gladwin in 1945. Mrs. Ballard was a member of the First United Methodist Church. The former Edna Pinnell married Lester Ballard July 27, 1929 in Flint. He preceded her in death Aug. 22, 1995.
Surviving are 3 sons, Paul and wife Eunice of Gladwin, Donald and wife Darlene of Birch Run, and Robert and wife Verna of Coleman; 3 daughters, Geneva and husband Delbert Boakes of Clare, Peggy and husband Jack Cameron of Gladwin, and Donna Benchley of Beaverton; 23 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Daniel Benchley; and one grandson-in-law, Jeff Strunk.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) from the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. The Rev. Deane Wylls and the Rev.
