Alvaro Amaya Adame, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 27, 2007. He was 85. He passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Adame was born June 27, 1921 in Kingsville.

A native of Kingsville, he is preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Amando Adame, and a daughter, Amparo Dalila Saucedo.

Alvaro lived a full life. He was a charismatic, generous man that enjoyed people, music and family gatherings. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart and always went the extra mile for them. He will be greatly missed by all.

His previous employers were the Missouri Pacific Railroad, Ed Byrne Furniture Company, Buddy Walker Home Furnishings in Kingsville, The Furniture Company and Walmart. He was a longtime member of the former First Assembly of God Church in Kingsville, now King's Way Family Church.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Guadalupe Adame of Kingsville; four daughters, Gloria Susana "Susie" (Humberto) Ortegon of Kingsville, Dalia (LeRoy) De Segura of Pasadena, Texas, Irma (Baldemar) Perez of Angleton, Texas and Alva (Roy) Lozano of Corpus Christi; one brother, Amando (Olga) Adame of Kingsville; one sister, Mary Jane England (Thomas) Villalovas of Houston, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 36 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary chapel with Rev. James Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Kingsville at Resthaven Cemetery.

The Adame family would like to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful physicans and assistants that were used by God in his care. They include: Dr. Bernardo Guitierrez, Dr. Nestor Praderio, Dr. Gilberto Sosa, Jr., the caregivers and nurse supervisors at TVNS, the nurses and professionals at St. Peter's Home Health Care, the various staff at Steele medical supply for all their help, the numerous other doctors, nurses and technicians that assisted Alvaro during the later part of his life, the staff and personnel at Christus Spohn Kleberg Hospital in Kingsville and at Kindred Hospital in Corpus Christi. Your caring hearts will never be forgotten. May the Lord richly bless you for all you have done on his behalf.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to King's Way Family Church in Kingsville. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
