Kimberly Lean Akers 42, of Clyde, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 while holding the hand of her husband, Doug in hospice care at Hendrick Medical Center,
Services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Toby Henson and Greg Clemmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Kim was born June 25, 1966 in Eastland to Edward (Jerry) and Nora (Jordan) Black. They moved to Clyde from Merkel in 1968. She was a 1984 graduate of Clyde High School. She married Doug Akers May 4, 1985 in Clyde. She had worked as an assistant vice president at First National Bank in Abilene for 12 years and as a teller at First Financial Bank in Clyde. She was a member of the Clyde First Baptist Church and also attended Cowboy Heritage Church.
