Maxine "Mickey" Victoria Pesik- Adema, age 81 of Amery, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Amery Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 20, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Martin and Helen (Santor) Glinski. As a child, the family moved to Indiana, and at the age of 14 Mickey moved to Turtle Lake, WI, where she attended school and graduated in 1949. After school, she took a job as a waitress in Turtle Lake. It was here that she met Ernest Pesik who was a patron at the restaurant while he was working for Dairyland Power. They were united in marriage on May 10, 1952 and to this union five children were born. The family made their home in Amery, and in 1971 Ernest passed away. Mickey continued to live in Amery and in 1994 she moved to Oak Brook Apartments where she lived until her passing. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and was best known for her wedding cakes that she made and decorated. She also liked cross word puzzles, bingo and playing cards, especially bridge. Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; brothers, Leonard Glinski and Richard Glinski, and a sister, Rosemary Glinski. She is survived by her sons, Ernest Pesik, Frederick (Karen) Pesik, Joseph (Lori) Pesik and daughters, Helena (Bruce) Bottolfson and Martha Hoff, as well as ten grandchildren, Carl, Cameron, Collin, Lindsay, Hunter, Jordan, Sam, Haley, Joey and Kylie, all that she cherished dearly. Mickey is also survived by a brother, Merritt Glinski.
