Fern F. Aguzzi, 83, of Cleveland died Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Bolivar Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church with Father Sean Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at 7:30 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Aguzzi was born on July 4, 1925 in Cleveland to Marina Favi and Pauline Mangialardi Favi. She was raised in Shelby and moved to Cleveland in 1947. She married Victor Julius Aguzzi on January 12, 1947 in Shelby. She devoted her life to her husband and family. She was always involved in community clubs and services and was an active participant in Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Julius Aguzzi; one sister, Frances Ferri; and one brother, Fatti Favi.
Survivors include two sons, Victor Julius Aguzzi, Jr. (Diane) of Cleveland and Richard Aguzzi (Priscilla); two daughters, Deanna Aguzzi Whitten (Donny) and Kathleen Aguzzi Lott (Marvin), all of Cleveland; a sister, Rose Mazzanti of Lake Village, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Melanie Whitten Callicott (Millard), Whitt Whitten (Kim), Natalie Whitten, Brian Lott (Rachel), Michael Lott (Melissa), Alan Aguzzi (Rachael) Lana Aguzzi, Victor Aguzzi, III (Celeste) and Sara Aguzzi Bufkin (Jeff); great grandchildren, Conner Whitten, Carsen Whitten, Catherine Whitten, Kate Callicott, Adam Callicott, Taylor Aguzzi, Stafford Lott and Alex Lott; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandson, Whitt Whitten, Brian Lott, Michael Lott, Alan Aguzzi, Victor Aguzzi, III, Millard Callicott, Jeff Bufkin and Conner Whitten.
